Overview

This page provides insights into the GE Proficy Historian TagProvider. By using the GE Proficy Historian TagProvider, users can seamlessly and dynamically connect to GE Proficy Historian servers at runtime. This enables data integration and visualization without the necessity to set up local Tags.

Configuration

To set up this Protocol as an ExternalTags, navigate to Unified Namespaces → External TagProvider, click on the "+" button and select the GE Proficy Historian Connector option.

Fill in the necessary fields:

    • Server: This is the address of the GE Proficy Historian server to which you wish to connect. By default, it is set as "localhost", but this can be changed to any valid IP address or hostname.

    • Username: Enter the username required for authentication on the GE Proficy Historian server.

    • Password: Provide the password associated with the previously entered username.

After entering the required details, save the settings, test the connection with a Test button.
