Overview
Alarm Areas provide a means of managing alarm items collectively. Unlike the previously discussed groups, the concept here is to perform actions such as acknowledging all alarms within an area simultaneously, disabling alarms within the same area, and other runtime actions.
The Alarms Areas propertiesAlarmAreas refer to the alarm feature that allows the grouping of alarms by logical areas for alarm-enhanced management. They enable collective acknowledgment, enable/disable functions across areas, and offer real-time monitoring via a graphical tree view. Configuration involves defining logical areas and it offers functionalities like filtering by sub-areas.

Defining And Organizing AlarmArea Hierarchy
The AlarmArea Hierarchy allows you to organize your alarms based on location, equipment, or process hierarchy. This enables you to easily identify and prioritize alarms and alerts based on their importance.
To define and organize alarms areas an AlarmArea hierarchy, follow these the steps below:
In the Alarm Configuration window, select the AlarmArea tab.
Click the 'New Level...' button to create a new Alarm Area.
Enter a unique name and description for the Alarm Area.
Optionally, set the priority for the Alarm Area. The priority determines the order in which the AlarmArea appear in the Alarm Group tree.
Repeat steps 2-4 to add additional AlarmArea.
To create a hierarchy, drag and drop AlarmArea onto each other to create parent-child relationships.
To edit an Alarm Area, select it in the Alarm Group tree and click the Edit button.
To delete an Alarm Area, select it in the Alarm Group tree and click the Delete button.

- With AlarmAreas selected, click the folder with a plus icon.
- Enter the new AlarmArea name and press Enter on your keyboard.

Using AlarmAreas at Runtime
Using configured AlarmAreas in the Alarms Modules at runtime is straightforward. Add an AlarmAreas graphical component to a display. The AlarmAreas has a graphical component designed to display the AlarmAreas configured in the Alarms module. To use it, navigate to Displays/Draw, select the Modules category, choose AlarmAreas, and place it on the Drawing area by clicking or dragging and dropping.
