Overview
This page provides insights into the The GE Proficy Historian TagProvider . By using the GE Proficy Historian TagProvider, users can seamlessly and dynamically connect connects to GE Proficy Historian servers at runtime. Configuration
To set up this Protocol as an ExternalTags, navigate to Unified Namespaces → External TagProvider, click on the "+" button and a new TagProvider connection navigate to Unified Namespace/TagProvider Connections and press the add button to open the New TagProvider Connection dialog. You can also create your TagProvider Connection directly from the AssetTree. To do this, navigate to Unified Namespace/Assets Tree and press 
to open the New TagProvider Connection dialog. In the configuration dialog, select the GE Proficy Historian Connector option.
Fill in the necessary fields:
on the Provider field and insert the required connection parameters.
To connect to the GE Proficy Historian server, enter the server address in the Server

be changedchange it to any valid IP address or hostname. Next, input the required username in the Username field for authentication purposes. Finally, provide the corresponding password in the Password to complete the authentication process.
After that, press the Ok button to finish the provider configuration, and it will create a folder automatically in the Assets Tree (Unified Namespace / Assets Tree).
