The Alarms Module comes with default configurations when setting up a new solution. This page provides an overview of the default settings and outlines the fundamental steps to set them up.

Configuration workflow

To configure the Alarms Module follow the steps below:

  1. First, access Alarms → Items and create an alarm item associated with a tag. Define the alarm behavior and characteristics by configuring its alarm condition, limit, deadband, and message. Read the Alarm Items page for more details.
  2. Access Alarms → Groups and create Alarm Groups to group the alarm items that share common characteristics and define several alarm attributes. Learn more on the Alarm Groups page.
  3. Create hierarchically structured groups of Alarms using Alarm Areas at Alarms → Areas, enhancing the organization and management of alarms. Learn more on the Alarm Areas page.
