Summary

This example demonstrates how to change the appearance of a given symbol by linking it to a tag and how to link multiple symbols to the same tag, thereby synchronizing different display elements.


Technical Information

To create a symbol, select multiple graphical elements (such as circles, images, or squares), right-click, and choose the “Make New Symbol” option. If any of the elements in the symbol already have dynamic properties, those dynamics will remain in the newly created symbol. It's important to note that when creating a symbol, these tags and their associated dynamics can only be configured by editing the symbol and accessing the specific graphical component you want to modify. To bypass this limitation, refer to the additional information below.

When configuring a symbol's dynamics, you can use Symbol Syntax to associate all the components of a symbol with a configurable tag. To do this, follow the example below when configuring the dynamics of a symbol's graphical component. The name of the configuration must be written between the # and : signs, and the configurable tag should be placed between parentheses (). Apply this method to all components of the symbol.
