The ControlLogix External TagProvider TagProvider interfaces with AB Rockwell ControlLogix and CompactLogix devices. Configuration
Initiate the configuration process by navigating to Unified Namespace → ExternalTags Source and selectingTo set up a new TagProvider connection navigate to Unified Namespace/TagProvider Connections and press the add button to open the New TagProvider Connection dialog. You can also create your TagProvider Connection directly from the AssetTree. To do this, navigate to Unified Namespace/Assets Tree and press 
to open the New TagProvider Connection dialog. In the configuration dialog, select the AB Rockwell ControlLogix/CompactLogix devices on the Provider field and insert the required connection parameters, such as the device model, the IP address, port number, and slot number. Test the connection by pressing the "Test" button. After that, press the Ok button to finish the provider configuration, and it will create a folder automatically in the Assets Tree (Unified Namespace / Assets Tree).

Initiating Setup: Click on the designated button to set up the AB Rockwell ControlLogix/CompactLogix ExternalTags. A new configuration window will appear.
Selecting Device Model: Choose the specific model of your device from the dropdown list. Available options include "1756 - L8X", "Micro 850", for other ControlLogix or CompactLogix models, you can select "Others".
Configuration Details:
- MaxStringItemsPerBlock: Define the maximum number of string items per block.
- WaitingBetweenMsgs: Specify the waiting time (in milliseconds or other units) between messages.
- StringLegacy: Input the legacy string details or enable/disable the legacy mode (depending on its function).
- IP: Enter the IP address of your AB Rockwell device.
- Port: Provide the port number where your device is communicating.
- Slot: Specify the slot number where your module is located.
After filling in all the necessary configuration details, click on the "Connect" or "Save" button (whichever is applicable) to complete the setup.
