Introduction
Our platform’s Historian tools empower users to gather, archive, and retrieve historical data from diverse sources within manufacturing or industrial settings.
Users can seamlessly connect to various data sources, including SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and other data acquisition devices. Integration with databases like Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle enables efficient storage of collected data.
After your data collection and storage, you can leverage the module's array of analytical tools, including charts, graphs, and reports, to analyze the data comprehensively. They can also establish alarms and notifications based on collected data to promptly alert them to critical events or conditions.

Key Functionalities
Canary Historian Embedded
Starting from version 9.2, Canary Historian comes bundled with our platform, offering 500 100 tags without any additional charges, which can be upgraded to larger systems. We seamlessly log and retrieve data to and from the Historian using native .NET APIs, ensuring robust performance, security, and functionality. Canary Historian is also tightly integrated with Tatsoft Asset Modeling, enabling the creation of Trends, Dashboards, and Advanced Data Applications using Client Tools. An upgrade option is also available for unlimited tags.
Multiple Historians
In addition to our embedded SQL and Canary historians, we collaborate with all major industry players such as OSISoftPI and InfluxDB, among others. We don't restrict projects to a single historian; instead, you can utilize multiple data sources simultaneously as needed.
Storage and Replication
Store and Forward
Universal Time and Daylight Saving
These features, as described for Alarms and Events, are also available for the Tag Historian database management.
Real-time, Historical and Batch Charts
Online charts operate at the client display level, whether or not there's a historian connected to the selected tags. Our built-in trend chart control is accessible across desktop, web, and mobile clients. This enables users to compare two curves on the same chart, originating from different start times, which proves invaluable for batch and process analysis.
Annotations and Alarms Overlay
Our platform offers customizable open project templates, allowing you to overlay annotations stored in SQL databases, as well as alarm conditions and acknowledgments, directly onto the trend charts.
Customize and Save at Runtime
Empower operators to customize tag groups, scales, and the overall appearance of trend charts in real-time. They can then save and share these configurations as needed.
Snapshots, Tables and Reports
Trend charts can be seamlessly integrated into web and PDF reports. Additionally, operators can generate image snapshots and export value data tables with just a command or triggered by any process event.
Data quality and Timestamp
Tag Quality is both stored and displayed on the trend charts. Our platform is capable of handling timestamps as precise as 0.1 ms intervals. This ensures that your data management, powered by our platform, is well-equipped to adapt to future advancements in networks and data acquisition devices. It's prepared for long-term usage and process enhancements.
