Modbus Tutorial
This tutorial explains the configuration of Modbus protocol, but the concepts presented here apply to all communication drivers.
You can define multiple protocol interfaces in a similar way by using the abstraction layers such as Channels, which corresponds to a Protocol configuration, and Nodes, which are the various devices you are connecting with that protocol. The only tangible difference in using one or another protocol is the syntax on the PrimaryStation, which defines the network identification of the Device, and Address field, which is the location if data inside your device..
All the configuration and testing procedures are the similar for most communication interfaces.
