Post-synchronization, initiate the import of tags. The software framework will automatically form the can create tags and map communication points based on the OPC server's databaseconnections. To commence this, select the created OPC node and choose the "Import" option.

Tutorial - Importing from an OPCXmIDA

Below is a configuration model for Kepware as a server and FactoryStudio as a Client.
Create a name and use an Address similar to the image.

In kepware right click on Channel and create a device.
Right-click on device and create a Tag, use a name of your choice and register an address similar to the one in the image.Image Removed
Once this is done, we configure the device module in FactoryStudio.
1. Create an OPCxmIDA Client Legacy channel.Image Removed
2. Create an OPCxmIDA Node and configure it in PrimaryStstion > Service URL > Kepware.KEPServerEX.V6.
3. After that, just click on Sync and click on refresh to find your Kepware Tag as in the image below:Image Removed

To make the configured tags visible to the OPC Server, simply change the visibility property:

  • Public: Can be read or written to in the OPC.

  • Protected: Can only be read.

  • Private: Cannot be seen or read.
